As we commemorate World Water Day on March 22, we at Culligan pause to reflect on the significance of this vital resource in our lives and reaffirm our commitment to water sustainability. As a global water expert, we recognize our responsibility to advocate for the responsible management of this precious commodity. In this article, we proudly spotlight two of our give-back initiatives designed to provide clean and safe water to communities facing water insecurity.

Culligan's ESG commitments

Culligan's ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) program is dedicated to minimizing our environmental footprint while fostering positive social change among our employees and within our communities. This includes taking responsibility as water stewards by assessing our current water usage and environmental impact, and prioritizing locations where water-related risks can be reduced through our WAVE certification program. This action is a critical step on our water journey, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable practices and proactive engagement in addressing water challenges both within our operations and in the broader communities we serve. In fact, Culligan has a new commitment to bring clean, safe drinking water to more people in need than ever before, as emphasized below by ESG Senior Manager, Christina Beckman.

"I'm excited to share that Culligan has pledged to donate 5 million liters of clean, safe water to those in need in 2024. This promise will be fulfilled through donations of our products, empowering recipients to become more resilient and self-reliant long into the future. We're enthusiastic about this commitment and the opportunity to increase our ambition and impact each year; it allows us to propel our purpose of enhancing the health and well-being of the communities where we live and work to greater heights."

Quench's partnership with Charity: Water

In celebration of Earth’s most precious resource, our friends at Quench are partnering with the non-profit Charity: Water to raise funds to support those in need of cleaner, better, safer water.

Charity: Water is a remarkable non-profit organization collaborating with local partners to fund Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programs for rural communities globally. With an impressive track record, Charity: Water has funded 138,003 water projects and positively impacted 17,490,802 lives across 29 countries. 

In honor of the significance of World Water Day, Quench is both donating funds and raising money online to get clean water to as many people as possible. For every $40 Quench raises, Charity: Water will provide a lifetime of clean water to one person. Last year, Quench raised enough money to provide clean drinking water to 25 individuals. This year, they hope to support even more individuals.
